Four of the seven NYCDOT private bus lines, which are Queens Surface, Green Bus Lines, Jamaica Bus, and Triboro Coach, had GMC and TMC RTS's, the latter were the newest RTS's the companies ever had. However, the newest RTS's that the MTA have, were manufactured by Nova Bus between 1997 and 1999, compared to the GMC's and TMC's, which were dated between 1985 and 1994. What's very puzzling about this is why didn't these four private companies ordered Nova Bus RTS's? Had they done that, those buses would have lasted much longer than the others, even much longer than the Orion V CNG's. Post MTA-takeover, those buses would still be running today, just like the current ones.
