This high speed train is speeding along very well. Looks like I'll be going to Miami in style in two years time and we might have a lot more to come then just that.
Leaders of the planned All Aboard Florida train have picked the Archer Western construction company to build the tracks and related structures for the Orlando International Airport segment of the 240-mile system.
Archer Western, which helped build the SunRail commuter train corridor that opened in Metro Orlando 14 months ago, also is constructing the South Florida section for All Aboard Florida, a privately financed operation owned by Florida East Coast Industries.
All Aboard Florida officials did not release the value of the Archer Western contract but said the work should create 75 jobs.
