Bus Service on Burke Ave. in the Bronx

I have been living in the general area of Burke Avenue in the Bronx for sometimeand as a commuter I've noticed the amount of pedestrians that transverse Burke Avenue to and from the  subway station. So the question or topic I wanted to discuss is if it would make sense for bus service to run along Burke Avenue or possibly a van route similar that connects to the at 233rd Street/ White Pains Rd.?
