Since I'm more of a subway person I have a question about MNRR.
In the NYC Subway system, let's say a 10 car R160 has to be able to stop ALL the way into the station (like 71 AV for example) in order for the doors to open and passengers to leave and enter.
But on MNRR, a 11 car M8 can enter a station (like Spyten Dyvuil or Yonkers) but can either overshoot or stop at the car market but leave 2 cars not connected to the platform. Why is this?
