Greetings, everyone!
Lots of you have already seen this work in progress and have given me great advice, suggestions, and overall, have been very helpful in helping me put this together. Thank you, everyone!
Version 1.8.0 of this project is now online. Check it out here ----> NYCT Preserved Subway Equipment v1.8.0
What's special about this update is that now the roster has photos up for view. When you click the above link, just go down towards the bottom of the page to the tab labeled "Preserved Roster Photos" and you'll find a list of the equipment and to the right, links to photos of some of the equipment.
Of course, like before, this isn't 100% complete. All of the photos put up are of my own. You'll notice that not everything on there has been photographed. This is where you guys come in.
Here's a chance for anyone who wants to contribute; if you happen to have any photo(s) of any of the specific equipment listed in this roster and you would like to share it with us, just drop me a PM here or send me an email at tonybx8600@yahoo.com.
When you send me your photo(s), all I'll require from you is the following:
* Your name - preferably your whole name. Or just part of your name (like first name, last initial or vice-versa, for example) is also fine. This for the purpose of giving you credit for your photo(s)
* The link or site where one can view your photo(s).
* A brief description of your photo(s) - what's being photographed, the location where it's being photographed, and the date in which the photo was shot (ie: 7/7/2007, 7/2007, or just 2007). If the photo was shot during an event (ie:, a special service, fan trip, MOD trip, a museum event), include that in the description as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, before anyone sends me anything, try to follow these Guidelines:
1. Preferably, any photo of yours that you would like for me to put up has to be YOUR own photo, meaning that it has to be a photo that you personally shot. If you do send me a photo shot by someone else, it won't be put up UNLESS you have had prior permission from the original author to share that photo. If I learn otherwise, it will be taken down.
2. Only send me photos of the car(s) or equipment that are listed on the roster. If other cars or equipment appear in the photos, make sure the ones listed also appear somewhere in the picture.
3. The size of your photo(s) doesn't matter.
4. The quality of your photo doesn't matter either; it can be anything from a professional shot from a DSLR to something as simple as a cell phone shot. However, please note that if the photo is just too hard to make out (ie: a night photo where nothing can actually be seen or where the photo is too blurry), it won't be put up.
5. If the photo has your name on it and copyright or a watermark on the photo, that's totally fine.
6. You don't have to send me the actual photo(s) / file(s) to me. Preferably, all you would have to do is send me a link to where you're photo is online and I can use that. If your photo isn't posted on the net, message me.
and finally,
7. If you don't have photos to contribute, you can also contribute any information that might be missing or anything worth putting up about any of the equipment on the roster. I've had a few people email me and all the suggestions and info they provided me have been very helpful. Again, thank you!
Thank you all so much! Hope to see your photo(s) soon!
