From what I understand, Metro-North has a general leasing/operating agreement with New Jersey Transit. But I was wondering, are there or have there ever been any circumstances under which the MNRR F-40s would be needed or used in East-of-Hudson territory? Or is that equipment basically meant to spend the rest of it's service life running to Port Jervis and such?
