IRT Outage 1-6 (13Jul2016-1349)

Guys, in case you didn't get told already, there's an IRT power outage that has rendered all # Lines except the useless. Seven of fourteen Bee-Line entry points are useless as of now. They weren't kidding when they said the subway system shut down.

Those six lines provide the most rush hour backbone on any given day. If this extends after 3 PM, Bx9, M4, M101, B15, B39, BM3, M34 SBS and B44 SBS will see ridership spikes in the next hour.

I disembarked at 242nd and heard this from personnel. So I took the Bee-Line 1W back to Manor House Sq to make use of my commutation.

I want to get off at Church & Nostrand Av's. Without the , this is what must be done:

At GCT, use 45th Street passage to Madison Av - look for East Village bound M3.

Xfer at E Houston Street to a East XTown M21.

Xfer at FDR Dr to a Williamsburg bound B39.

Xfer at Williamsburg to a Sheepshead Bay bound B44 SBS.

Disembark at Church & Nostrand Av's. Southbound service akin to stop.


How would you get to this intersection if subway service was experiencing an outage?

This is meant to spur creative commutation, even if this becomes irrelevant when service is restored.
