BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man shot up a Brooklyn bus, injuring one, after a rider refused to give him money Friday morning.
Cops say the dispute began just before 10 a.m. on the B12 bus at East New York Avenue and Thomas S Boyland Street.
Witnesses told PIX11 the suspect was asking for money aboard the bus and when one rider said “no,” he said, “Today is your lucky day,” and began shooting.
The shooter and victim began tussling and the bus driver pulled over, allowing passengers to flood out of the bus.
About seven people were on the bus at the time of the incident.
A 31-year-old was shot in the hand and is being treated for a non-life threatening injury at a nearby hospital.
The gun was recovered on the bus and the suspect is in custody.
