Beginning Saturday, June 7th customers in Queens, Manhattan, plus Brooklyn will benefit from an increase and reroute in subway service. This will include restoration of
and
service, plus an increase in
service, with a limited peak direction express from Coney Island to Church Ave. The new service enhancements are part of an estimated $7.9 million slated to be invested throughout the city.
These service additions are part of the MTA’s 2013-2014 Service Enhancement Program aimed at increasing and improving services for customers. Additions to
service will provide a direct link between Bushwick and Downtown Manhattan, operating following the current
train schedule.
In South Brooklyn, the
will now run an express route, in the peak direction between 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on weekdays, stopping at Coney Island-Stillwell Av, West 8 St, Neptune Av, Avenue X, Kings Highway, 18th Av, and Church Av, then making all
stops to Jamaica-179 St.
In Queens and Manhattan, a new train line named the
