When is the madness going to stop?? Last night it took 3 hours to get home!! The A train runs a shuttle from Boro Hall to Bway Junction in the late night. Last night they started it a little early. No problem I took the L train from 14 St to Bway Junction. I arrived at the A train track to a large crowd. We waited and waited finally some MTA people and cops told us there were no A trains running!!! Imagine this shuttle buses are bring people to a station and there are no trains!!! People are getting off the L train to connect with the A train and no trains at 10:30 pm. If you have any idea where Bway Junction is ...not a great place to be stranded but I had about 2000 close friends with me. Well the best the MTA could do is say take a 24 bus to Euclid Ave. As you could imagine the stop for the 24 bus was mobbed. No bus! Hundreds of people who want to go home!! As this is taking place there are 10 or 15 EMPTY MTA buses that just dropped people at Bway Junction. Now the logical thing to do is take a few of these buses and put people on them and run them to Euclid or Rockaway Blvd where they can get an A train. Does the MTA do this??? NO!!!! There are easily 1000+ people standing in the street not knowing where they are or if they will ever get home. The 24 bus comes and there is a stampede on to the bus. I get sucked into the bus by the crowd. I am the last person on the bus. I am hanging at the bottom of the stairs holding on for dear life next to the door. I am not sure if being stranded at Bway Junction would have been worst than possibly falling off the bus. That bus ride was the most terrifying experience. Add that to the brawl I was engaged in...fun times! I opted to take the bus to Woodhaven and Atlantic rather than get off at Euclid. There was a possibility there were not trains at Euiclid. So at 11:50 we arrived at Woodhaven just as a 52 bus left the bus stop, I asked the bus driver to please signal the other driver that there were passengers that needed that bus. No response!! So here we were refugees standing on a bus stop on Woodhaven and Atlantic at 11:50 waiting for a 52/53 bus to Rockaway. 53 Bus finally came and I landed home at 12:30.
