Today, I didn't took any subways, but since my trip today focus on LGA airport and M60 SBS, here is what I did today.
I left house around 9:30, then went to Junction Blvd Duane Reade and got 3 Honest Tea Organic Juices for $3 with balance reward card.
I cross over to Junction Blvd/Roosevelt Av and got on LGA-bound Q72 #4495 with male driver departed 10:13.
Morningside Heights-bound M60SBS #5983 was front of us when Q72 got to Parking Lot #1.
arrived LaGuardia Airport/Delta Airline at 10:30.
Total time on MTA Bus: 17 minutes.
Soon as I got off, got M60SBS receipt and boarded the M60SBS #5983 at 10:33.
Especially tourists coming off flights were confused as they boarded. It was male driver along with male Eagle Team. I asked him if he could give me copy of Courtesy Notice politely and he gave to me.
Got off Central Terminal Area B at 10:38.
Total time on +Select Bus Service+: 5 minutes.
While I waited for Flushing-bound Q48, tourists with suitcases were trying to board the M60SBS, so I pointed to fare info on front door side until my bus came.
I boarded Flushing-bound Q48 #6135 departed 10:46. Another male driver.
When Q48 wgot to Marine Air Terminal, he was dropping off wheelchair passenger. At that moment, I saw someone waiting for either Q47 or M60SBS, but from front door, "If you're waiting for M60, you must get your ticket."
After that, arrived at Roosevelt Av/Main St at 11:25.
Total time on NYCT Bus: 39 minutes.
As I ran past n20 bus stop at Roosevelt Av/Main St, I made announcement there are heavey delays on all NICE Bus due to Memorial Day Parade and went to closest bakery store and got $1.30 cheese & ham bread to go.
I don't like to go on bus with no drinks or foods because detour will make it more longer.
I got on 11:25 n20 Hicksville #1757 departed 11:40, 15 minutes behind schedule. He was running regular route since parade hasn't started yet. NICE Bus didn't put any detour sign between Springfield Blvd/Douglaston Parkway and Great Neck Rd.
There was chinese senior man was asking for this address and nice female lady told male driver and he said he will remind him.
After Marcy's, so I told him to sit down on this side just in case if driver forgets, but he didn't forget and he got off at correct address at Bryant Av stop.
He was suppose to arrived at Hicksville Station at 12:42, but he arrived at 13:00, 18 minutes behind schedule.
Total time on NICE: 80 minutes.
When I got there, there were four beautiful sexy girls in beach clothes and I figured out they were going to Jones Beach and when I told them n87 Jones beach doesn't run until June 23rd and they were little disappointed and they say thank you.
I was heading same direction.
I went to get $2.75 pizza by Old Country Rd and I asked for box, then return to Hicksville Station and I boarded 14:27 n20 Flushing with male driver departed at 13:27, on time.
When he entered NYIT, I told him loop is closed to bus on weekend/holidays and he replied friendly, "I didn't know that." because old male driver also entered NYIT Loop, so he copy him.
He wasn't inform of Little Neck-Douglaston Memorial Day Parade when I told him Northern Blvd is closed between Great Neck Rd and Alamenda Av from 11:00 to 18:00 and told him he properly has to make detour on LIE service road between Lakeville Rd and Douglaston Parkway. I heard command center talking about LIE Service Rd and Lakeville Rd and I figured it was n20 but male driver didn't pay attention.
After Great Neck Station, he entered Northern Blvd and called command center and command center corrected him to make detour, so when he got near Westminister Road, they saw police barrier blocking entire Northern Blvd.
One male passenger was lucky enough to get on his bus and he had no choice but to make illegal U-turn on Northern Blvd. No one onboard the bus complaint because they saw the parade.
After that he made detour announcement, "Attention! Due to parade, we have a detour. Will be going on LIE Service Rd from Lakeville Rd to Springfield Blvd. Will be resuming regular route at Northern Blvd/Springfield Blvd. I'll be stopping at Springfield Blvd, Bell Blvd, Francis Lewis Blvd, etc.
It was big traffic on Lakeville Rd and it was beautiful scenic on LIE Service Rd with trees.
At LIE Service Rd at Little Neck Parkway, one male asked driver if he could get off here and he said yes at bus stop, so he drop off him.
Suppose to arrive at 14:45, but arrived 17 minutes late at 15:02.
Total time on NICE: 95 minutes.
When I got back to Roosevelt Av/Main St, there was line strechting all the way by first bakery store. There was one lady who complaint to me why that bus operator is sitting there and two buses show up at once before.
I got back on his bus on 14:55 n20 CW Post #1803 departed at 15:30, 35 minutes behind schedule.
When he was intersection, he radio command center if detour is same as westbound, but command center told him to use Douglaston Parkway to LIE Service Rd to Lakeville Rd. Bus were overcrowded due to parade. There was Spanish lady with young baby who had bag, so I told her to put baby on front area where most bus operators has schedule inside that black thing by front door. After he comfirm, he made announcement "Attention, we have detour and we'll be using LIE Service Rd from Douglaston Parkway to Lakeville Rd, skipping few stops.
It was around 16:00. There was lots of traffic. No one complained.
When he got near Little Neck Parkway, detour has been lifted east of Little Neck Parkway, so he was able to go back on his regular route to serve City Line to Middle Neck Rd.
At stop before Plandome Rd, there was one male driver who wasn't aware of parade told bus operator kindly he and poor lady was waiting for bus over 1 hour 40 minutes and the same male driver who informed bus operator asked if anyone knows what time n23 Mineola bus comes?
I quickly rush through my stuff and it was 17:23 next one.
At Northern Blvd/Searington Rd, it was suppose to arrived at 15:41, but arrived at 16:31, 50 minutes behind schedule.
Total time on NICE: 61 minutes.
Then male passenger who informed about poor lady told somebody on cell phone bus is running late due to parade.
After that I rush to Whole Food Manhassett and I even help bring one of shopping cart to Shopping Cart cleaning cart.
I hate when people use wrong shopping cart for wrong store.
There were some people using "BATH & BEYOND" shopping cart in Whole Foods.
After I got 365 Organic Soymilk Vanilla flavor, Organic Stonyfield Greek Organic yogurt and #365 Organic Cereal brand, Crunchy Cinnamon Squares, I try some sample before I went to restroom.
After that, I got watermelon popcicle from gas station deli.
Then I got on 17:13 n20 Flushing #1732 which was suppose to arrived at 17:28, but he arrived and left 4 minutes late at 17:32, same time as n23 Manorhaven which pulled over first.
It was male driver from MTA LIB and he really want MTA to come back. He told me all the Long Island Bus operators want MTA back.
It got crowded at Great Neck Station, then city line.
He was suppose to arrived at 18:15, he arrived 9 minutes late at 18:20.
Total time on NICE: 52 minutes.
I rushed back to n20 bus stop and LGA-bound Q48 was approaching also, which happened to be male driver.
As soon as last passenger got on 18:25 n20 Hicksville #1732, I rush to Q48 bus stop and LGA-bound Q48 #4197 departed 18:27, arrived LGA Airport/Delta Airline at 18:45.
Total time on NYCT: 18 minutes.
Customer Ambassadors were familar faces with SBS workshop and Q70 meeting.
I quickly got M60SBS receipt again and boared Morningside Heights-bound M60 #5976, which was male driver departed at 18:53
I decided to get off at Marine Air Terminal at 19:07.
Total time on +Select Bus Service: 42 minutes.
There was PANY&NJ A bus and I asked male driver how long Route A leaves and he told me kindly 19:15.
After I quickly got replacement bag because Whole Food paper bag got broke and Hudson Newstand was very NICE.
I stay at Marine Air Terminal to help with M60 SBS. For people who having hard time, since I wasn't taking M60 SBS, I gave him my ticket I got from Delta Airline stop and I helped one of tourist get receipt with my MetroCard because his MetroCard was having issue.
They said thank you.
While I was there, Q47 buses came in 3 bunches!! Properly because of parade.
I got on Port Authority Shuttle Route A #707 bus, which he was also reading M60 SBS brochure, so I gave him M60 SBS Schedule as well and he departed 20:10 and arrived at Delta Airline Arrival at 20:16.
Total time on PANY&NJ Shuttle: 10 minutes.
I rushed to M60SBS machine and got receipt after 45 minutes expired, then got on female driver on Morningside Heights-bound M60SBS #5972 which left at 20:16, arrived at Central Terminal at 20:22.
Total time on +Select Bus Service+: 8 minutes.
There were four ambassadors standing by and some recognized me from SBS and Q70 workshop/meeting.
At 20:30, ambassador boarded M60 SBS for their shift ended. After they were gone, I made announcement if you're going on M60, you must paid at machine. There is no farebox on M60 SBS. All M60 fareboxs are outside and get a receipt.
Then after few moment, my bus, Rego Park-bound Q72 #3739 came and left at 20:40. Which was male driver.
Arrived at my home stop, Junction Blvd/37th Avenue at 20:54.
Total time on MTA Bus: 14 minutes.
Then I went to Food Dimension and ask my friend if I could get shopping bag and he said yes.
After that, I went home to Diamond Royal Condo.
