Yeah I have the nerve to even bring this subject up on facebook arguing over this and well I am bring it up again here.
So: http://web.mta.info/mta/news/books/pdf/140623_1345_CPOC.pdf
I'm tired of hearing it, the W must come back in 2016 when the stupid SAS opens. It is on time according to the CPOC statements last month. (See photo) Period.
Why:
1) We need a new service to Astoria. We need more B'Way local service.
2) It makes no sense to use wasted express track capacity. Bring back the N Broadway Express.
3) Just use the switches at 57th Street. No bottleneck at 42nd Street. Problem solved.
4) We need more service in Brooklyn. I brought up the J but noooo I'm a foamer. So let it be pre 2010 budget cuts, send select W trains to 4th Avenue, they can go via the BMT Sea Beach line. It will be rehabed by the time the SAS opens anyway.
I'm not arguing the point.
