Attention ladies and gentlemen, this express train is making all local stops because of cat traffic up ahead. The MTA diverted
and
trains onto local tracks through a stretch of Brooklyn for more than two hours Thursday because a wayward cat was on the loose. A signal maintainer spotted the feline in a wide underground area north of the 36th St. station at Fourth Ave. at 11:51 a.m., the MTA said. The worker alerted the rail control center, prompting dispatchers to direct southbound
trains to use local tracks from DeKalb Ave. to 36th St. Dispatchers also re-routed southbound N trains to local tracks between Dekalb and 59th St., the MTA said. Normal service didn’t resume until 2:04 p.m., after the signal maintainer finally managed to corral the feline.
