MCIs and Prevosts and MTA orders

I was in Bay Ridge and Staten Island yesterday on the X27 and X1, and the buses I was on were in good shape.  I've been rather critical of the Prevosts since they came out, but they've grown on me a bit even though I still prefer the MCIs in terms of comfort.  It's only been a few years with the Prevosts, but with the next order coming out from them, if these buses hold up, I have to wonder what this means for MCI and the 's relationship.  I still think of MCIs as the true beasts, but these Prevosts may be able up to hold up and are cheaper.
